When is the time to start orthodontic treatment?

Ideally orthodontic evaluation should be made at an early age. This will determine how the jaw and teeth are developing. It will also show if there is sufficient room to accommodate all the teeth.
Growth Guidance
Growth Guidance starts anywhere from 6 to 10 years of age. This treatment is given to change the jaw position or enlarge the jaw so it can accept all of the permanent teeth. The Growth Guidance phase is generally followed by braces to align the teeth and finish the case.
Traditional Braces
Traditional Braces are done anywhere from ages 10 to adulthood. Braces are usually done to correct the position of the teeth and on occasion to correct jaw position.
Cost of Braces
The Cost of braces varies. Please contact our office for a free evaluation. For more information on orthodontics and braces.
